Liceul Teoretic „Orizont” (Liceul Moldo-Turc) were founded in 1993 by the decision of Moldavian Government with the aim of providing a modern and quality education to Moldavian children and to strengthen the friendship between Moldova and Turkey. Thus, in Moldavian-Turkish Lyceum: a) Science subjects are taught in English and Social Subjects are optional and are taught either in Romanian or Russian. b) The Medium of instruction is in English. Turkish is taught as a foreign language. c) The Entrance exam consists of two sections and takes place in April. Only grade 7 students are eligible to participate. d) To measure the level of students, a General Assessment Test is taken each year covering all the subjects taught. e) Students’ grades and their attendance data processed into computer on daily basis, thus parents have an easy excess to learn all about them. f) The bright and intelligent students will be able to take preparation for Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics and Computer Olympiads under the guidance of Olympiads teachers here at school and thus participate in such events. g) Moldavian-Turkish Lyceums co-operate and exchange information with the schools within the country or in abroad. h) We take following qualifications into consideration while selecting our teaching faculty: * Educational Level * Teaching experience * Ability to use multimedia devices * Computer Literacy * Communication skills i) Our graduates obtain certificates in Computer Efficiency and translator certificates in English and Turkish besides the graduation diploma. j) In our Lyceum, the lessons are generally instructed in the multimedia environment. k) We do have network facility with internet connection. l) Our students have unlimited excess to use the computers and internet facilities apart from school periods.
